Our history...

historical background...

Since the very beginning of its operation, i.e. since January 1998, the Company has been providing transport services. It primarily specialises in the transportation of perishable food products such as meat, fruit and vegetables. The provision of such services is possible among other things thanks to the Company’s own fleet of special vehicles which have been customised to transport products at low temperatures.

At present, in the first quarter of 2013, the Company is operating 65 vehicle units comprising truck tractors with refrigerated semi-trailers or special tank trailers used to transport fish in the seawater environment.

The Company’s operating area covers Poland and West European countries and takes advantage of its contacts established as a result of long-term collaboration, based on mutual trust, punctuality and high quality of the services offered.

Since April 2007, following the commissioning of new Company headquarters located in Braci Staniuków Street in Słupsk, the range of services offered has been extended to include storage and freezing of food products which are provided at storage freezers with the capacity of approx. 5,700 Euro pallets.

The Company collaborates with fresh raw produce suppliers located in the Pomeranian and Central Pomeranian area who have been well tested over several seasons. Each and every one of them is subject to veterinary inspection carried out by the Veterinary Institute. Fresh fish (Baltic sprat, herring) is collected directly from fishermen, then washed, weighed and packed.

Thus prepared fish is forwarded to chamber (direct immersion) and linear (air flow) freezing tunnels in which it is frozen to the minimum temperature of -18˚C, then stored in the storage freezer and later forwarded to the customer. Current fishing seasonality – from January to April – of the Baltic sprat which, along the herring processing, constitutes the basis of the existing product range, results in high demand for the species outside the aforementioned short fishing season.

Due to the fact that the Company’s processing capabilities did not make it possible to freeze larger quantities of fish at one time, which in turn would make it possible to intensify the processing, in spring 2012 a decision was made and the Company commenced the construction of a new, fully automated processing plant that will meet the requirements with regard to the processing output within a short period of time.

As freezing-related operations are very energy-consuming, in order to reduce the costs of electricity ENERCON E-82 wind turbines with the rated output of 2 MW and a smaller ENERCON E-53 wind turbine with the rated output of 0.8 MW have been installed at the Company premises to be used for the plant operation purposes.

On 1 March 2013, the new processing plant located in Włynkówko near Słupsk received the operating permit and commenced processing. The construction of the new manufacturing plant as well as the purchase of machinery and equipment was possible thanks to subsidies under the framework of the Operational Programme ‘Sustainable Development of the Fisheries Sector and Coastal Fishing Areas 2007 – 2013’.
